DHAdmann's Tómbola / Lottery

History

Many kids get a couple of coins every Sunday from their parents, and I wasn't an exception. With this money I ran to the closest small store and check what could I buy with this coins. One of the things that took more my attention was a piece of paperboard with a beautiful mosaic design build by small candies wrapped on paper with bright colors. Together with the candy came a small paper with a number. Sorounding the mosaic were stapled toys and bags full of candies called prizes. Every price have a number sticked. So if the number with candy you bought match with the one of the prize you win!. It was like lottery, picking a 5 cents candy you could win a 2 or 4 dollars prize. It was awesome for me. This objects still exist in many candy stores in Mexico and is called Tómbola.

Description and mechanism
